Here are some tulips to brighten your day, and some posts I thought were encouraging.

Call to prayer: As the last days approach, some of our spiritual leaders are calling all believers together in unified prayer. Please join in the fight the first week of July!

6 Strategies to Sleep Soundly, Wake Rested and Accomplish More:  “I’ve been thinking a lot about sleep recently. Most research shows that we don’t get enough, and our deficit is seriously hurting our productivity, our physical health, even our mental well being.”

Practical Date Night: “Several research studies have shown that clutter overloads your senses and stress hormones spike up….If you don’t have time this weekend, then start with the tiniest increment of time you can. The idea is to experience more peace and order and not get overwhelmed, so permission for baby steps is totally granted. Start tiny and even if it’s just one junk drawer, decide what to keep and what to give to charity or throw away.”

Empower Your Husband: “In general, guys like to pretend we are totally confident 100% of the time, but the truth is most of us are still little insecure boys (just with bigger toys)… when you demonstrate to us that you believe in us, or show that you trust us to handle things that you care about, it actually empowers us to keep bringing our A-game to the relationship.”

Why Stories Are Important: “Stories move us. And we need to be moved. We need to mature. We need to go on. Because where we are going is more amazing than any story can describe.

When Kids Don’t Go According to Plan: “In Jesus’ story, the father didn’t nag, criticize, or get angry with his son. The father didn’t say ‘you’re not ready, this is the wrong decision, you’re too immature, you don’t know what you’re doing.’ Instead, this wise and loving father prepared to watch his son learn a hard truth … on his own.”

But now, many months later, I am still amazed by the difference a few words of encouragement made. Words offered by a stranger who noticed him, encouraged him and inspired him to give away what he had received. – See more at: http://proverbs31.org/devotions/devo/the-difference/?utm_source=Proverbs+31+Ministries+Devotions&utm_campaign=33f560d7e1-P31_Devo_6_12_Renee&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_6b73962290-33f560d7e1-209227349#respond

For months, we watched our outgoing, happy, encouraging kid withdraw from us and from friends. We listened as he vented deep doubts and questions about God, compounded by frustration and uncertainties about his own purpose in life. – See more at: http://proverbs31.org/devotions/devo/the-difference/?utm_source=Proverbs+31+Ministries+Devotions&utm_campaign=33f560d7e1-P31_Devo_6_12_Renee&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_6b73962290-33f560d7e1-209227349#respond
