Poem From a Ten-Year-Old: Come See Alaska!

July 14, 2014 by Jen Cudmore

Happy Monday, friends. It’s been an interesting weekend for me, with my daughter’s cat dying and a friend desperate for some extra TLC after an unfortunate series of tragedies. But God is good!

Since I didn’t have time to write a post this weekend, here’s a sweet poem my daughter gave me when I first started my website. She was only ten at the time.

City of Anchorage

There is way more to Alaska than a cold snowy place.

Alaska is Paradise. We had a nice heat wave.

Outside is a very good place to look for beauty.

Beautiful wildflowers growing.

Long green grasses.

Lovely spring beauty.

Low creeks flowing.

Great visit maker.

Come see Alaska beauty. Alaska is beautiful.

And there are many animals.

You are lucky to see a moose! They only charge if they think you’re a threat.

Come see Alaska!
