Reflection, Testimonies, and Fasting

This morning I’m reflecting over the past year and how nothing ever turns out quite like you plan!

Most of my time has been going to my day job at the ortho clinic, my family, or prayer meetings with friends. Ezer Kenegdo Ministries is still a work in progress, at least for now. God seems to be holding off on this project, and as eager as I am to get started, I need to trust Him with the timing. I’d also like to do more blogging here on my site next year, but we’ll see where God leads!

In the works:

1. Last night I told my marriage story to a video camera. Alaska Christian Women’s Ministry is starting a new TV program where they collect testimonies of God’s greatness in a short 10-minute clip. These will start airing on TV in 2017! So far we have 15 recordings, but they are looking for 50, so AK ladies, please let me know if you want to share your story!

Once I’m able to get a copy of my recording, I will post it to my blog so everyone can watch it!

2. I’m still writing every Tuesday for the Alaska Christian Women’s Ministry Blog. This past week, I started a new series on fasting.  I’m excited to share the things I’ve studied and put into practice. I feel a bit inadequate, since I have only fasted half a dozen times, but I feel God wants me to share my experiences with other women. Here is the first post. I hope you’ll keep up and follow them all!

Curious about Biblical Fasting?:  “While we will always struggle with our sinful nature, we don’t have to allow it to control us. What we stop feeding will eventually starve and die. One way to weaken the grip of our flesh is by fasting.”

The holiday season is upon us, soon it will be a new year, and I’m excited to celebrate. May God bless you and yours!
